The Bearfoots collection was inspired by these whimsically posed black bears. As soon as Flemming started creating the smaller collectible pieces, it was obvious he had a hit on his hands. It seems a lot of people appreciated his view of black bears, as curious creatures that shared some human characteristics, and each had a unique personality.
From bears trying to play a round of golf and blowing out the candles on a birthday cake to guitar playing Bearfoot bluegrass bears, they run the gamut when it comes to design.
But it turned out that was not enough. Collectors wanted the figures, but they also wanted more. Along came a line of Bearfoots candle holders and treasure boxes to join the line. Then the bears expanded into home décor including items such as tables, toothbrush holders and a Bearfoots Bears canister set.
The Bearfoots also got an animal friend, Mountain Moose, who adorns many items from figurines to a Bearfoots moose paper towel holder.
What started as a love affair with bears has blossomed into a bear (and moose) masterpiece.
