Bringing Home the Bear

In the old days, bear décor would have been a bear skin rug on the wall or on the floor. Today, however, folks are a little more ecologically sensitive and black bear home décor has taken on an entirely new meaning. You can still enjoy these kings of the wilderness in your home in a number of ways.

If you love bear décor you don’t have to live without the bear necessities any longer because bear décor is not only available for your living room or great room, but also in your hallways and kitchen. There is even bear bathroom décor.

Black bear décor is big right now. It seems everyone has jumped on the rustic and wilderness décor bandwagon, and that means bear cabin décor can be found almost anywhere you look. Here are some examples:

In your master bathroom or guest bathrooms, you can purchase complete bear collections, from shower curtains, curtain hooks, rugs, bath and vanity accessories, to wallpaper borders with bears and cubs.

In the hallway, you can light the way with bear sconces and spruce up the walk down the hall with bear paintings and wall hangings.

In the living room you can even get tiffany lamps featuring bears, not only in the art glass of the shade, but also as a statue or silhouette on the copper base.

For a child’s room some modern furnishings are too big, some are too small, but baby bear furnishings may be just right. There is a whole line of baby bear décor so you can take the wilderness feel to your little one’s room without it being too overwhelming or scary.

In your bedroom, think of a carved bear headboard next to your bear nightstand. There are even armoires, chairs and dressers with a bear motif.

Kitchen and dining areas – you can start with the dinner ware that depicts a group of bears ambling their way around your plate. From there, you can go whole hog (or whole bear) with bear décor, accessories and accents, turning your kitchen and dining area into a beary nice place to hang out with friends and family.
